Designing a book full sleeve cover for the book ‘Empire Of The Sun’. From my own interpretation and illustration, Representing this in a discrete way but the audience is still able to understand. For example, the story is about a little boy, instead of using an outline of the boy like previous covers the idea of using a child's mobile toy to show this makes it more interesting. As the narrative is about WWII, in particular in Shanghai, the cover express with sensitivity. To set the scene the background is a silhouette of the iconic architectural arch in China. The colour pallet that is used is kept simple with the pink and red to give it the childish feel but also it would make the audience pick it up. (Work produced during my exchange)
